IT Governance

Senior management has always felt a need for organizational governance. Additionally, governance is now expanding to include IT as part of an organization’s plan to achieve its general strategy and goals. In order to attain these goals, it is necessary to have the leadership, management structures and processes.IT plays two different roles regarding governance:

Labe1. Enabling organizational conformity with the support of IT’s leveragel
2. The conformity of IT itself

The conformity of IT itself, which is the intention of IT governance, reduces risks and increases competencies to the entire organization through the use of IT’s own processes. This has become a critical issue. In other words, matching IT processes to business goals and not harming the continuity of the business has come to mean that the business is secure.

In this framework, globally accepted approaches are presented in a fundamental manner:

– COBIT
– ITIL
– CMMI®
– BS-7799 or ISO2001
