Graduated from Istanbul Technical University’s School of Architecture in 1989, and received his Master’s in Construction Project Management from the same school in 1993. From 1991 through 1997, he worked as an academic at İTÜ, contributing to various research projects and training activities on the subject of project management.
In 1997, he moved from academia to consulting, and worked on different construction projects as a project manager and project team member at Yapı Kredi Bank and Yapı Merkezi Construction Company in Turkey, the Netherlands, and Germany.
In addition to his role as a project manager, Mr. Köksal spent a lot of effort in developing project management methodologies, creating a project management culture and a project management office at the companies where he worked.
After spending 3 terms managing the Istanbul Project Management Association (IPYD), Ahmet Köksal obtained his PMP® (Project Management Professional) certificate, given by the Project Management Institute in 2002. He founded Mentor Project Management Training and Consultancy in 2003.
Mr. Ahmet Köksal provides project management training and consulting services to many companies and organizations through Mentor Project Management Training and Consultancy.
In addition to having written articles on the subject of project management in several national and international publications, Ahmet Köksal also writes about Alpinism and American Indians for Atlas magazine.
